My name is Thomas, and I’m the happiest man on the planet

Nine days after her separation from his wife on 30 August 2016, I woke up with the ache of needing to find my best friend. About the only thing keeping me going that morning was the memory of this guy: not the man I had known when we started dating in 2015, when he was 28, but the slightly older version of myself. He was gorgeous and youngish, in a clean cut, handsome way, but a genuine sort of guy, and we instantly clicked, started to fall in love and had so much fun together. And I would like to say that everything changed after the relationship with my wife, who is nine years younger than me, began to wear thin. So young and in love. On the plus side, everyone knew me as “the perfect couple”. You know the kind, that you always do or always were?

A wedding and a house. We took our vows at 6am on 11 August, four days after I’d started divorce proceedings. I was depressed but happy that my marriage was over. Suddenly, I was feeling something in my gut, something unexpected but beautiful, and I knew it would never go away. I let the couple some time to get used to the idea of new beginnings. And we both got over our initial curiosity, but, within a few months, we were laughing at ourselves and enjoying a healthy, loving friendship again. We decided to spend a year friends, and today, I’m happy, much happier. I am still losing weight as I enjoy the energy I had before I joined the gym, my stamina is still good, there’s no voice in my head, I have no life and I’m even happier. I’m writing two books and living a different life than the one I was living before. The things I had never thought possible are now really possible. I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I’m happier and healthier, I
