Brandon Kyle Goodman, of ‘Big Mouth,’ has a new role for which he’s super nervous — playing an old dude

Aubrey O’Day, one of the four voice actors behind the characters of “Mouth,” the mischievous anime character on Netflix’s hit animated series “Big Mouth,” posted a video on YouTube Sunday of Brandon Kyle Goodman, the actor who played the high school boy who changed into an anime cartoon character after speaking to his therapist about gender identity.

Goodman took part in the show’s musical performances, which debuted Saturday night at San Diego Comic-Con, and stood out in the video in particular because the show’s writers made sure to label each character an “old dude”—which may go against their intention. “I’m not one of those old dudes,” Goodman joked, as he wrapped up the video in character.

On Twitter, a fan thanked Goodman for “using your voice [to] create a voice for the marginalized + speak to the real problems we all struggle with”:
